The AI Institute has announced that Dr. Marco Hutter will be joining the Institute to lead its new Zurich office. Under Dr. Hutter’s leadership, the Zurich team will advance the development of agile and dexterous intelligent machines.

To support further growth and attract the best talent in Europe, the AI Institute is opening an office in Zurich in early 2024. The Zurich team will work to further advance intelligent, agile, and dexterous robotic systems that will operate in some of the world’s most challenging environments.

The AI Institute has hired Dr. Kate Darling to lead its study of ethics and societal impact. In this role, Darling will lead a team of researchers to explore key societal questions related to the development of intelligent machines.
